It is important to take into corresponding the different cultures aspect of the Nepal. Here is some simple list which may be helpful to you and make to you easy.

  • Greeting in Nepal is Namaste or Namaskar to superior and it is performed by joining palm together respectfully.
  • Before entering a home, temple, monastery or Stupa remember to remove your shoes.
  • While you travelling dress appropriately women should especially avoid dressing in skimpy outfit.
  • Seek permission first before entering a Hindus temples many Hindu temples do not allow westerners or non Hindu to enter leather articles are prohibited.
  • When you walking around temples monastery or stupa traditionally done clock wise.
  • When you take photos only after receiving permission from the person being Photography.
  • Develop a genuine interest to meet and talk to Nepalese peoples and respect their local customs.
